Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman & Howe – An Evening of Yes Music Plus
NTSC
Rating: B

This performance was recorded on ABWH tour of 1989. The only person absent from the classic Yes line up with bass player Chris Squire. Court battles over the name kept this from being called Yes but the way it went down lead to a unique concert experience. The Plus in the title refers to the fact that each band member comes on separately and performed songs solo before everyone joined the stage and played the classic tunes of yesteryear.

The two best solo performances are Steve Howe’s "Mood for a Day" and Rick Wakeman’s "Merlin the Magician." The best band performances go to "And You and I," "Close to the Edge" and "Roundabout." This is an import from England so Yes fans will have to jump over to www.amazon.com and search for the DVD to order.
