W. Fraser Sandercombe - Beatle Books: From Genesis to Revolution (Book)
Collectors Guide Publishing

Rating:  C

After lending his pen to two recent and highly acclaimed Beatle tome’s now author W. Fraser Sandercombe returns with this book which covers  books written about The Beatles. He has meticulously included the literally thousands of volumes that have been published concerning the Fab Four from the 60’s right up to present day and listed them both chronologically and alphabetically.  While Beatle Books does provide the requisite author and publishing information, as well as a catchy title, it unfortunately offers nothing as far as his own personal recommendations go which I think in the end could have made this book a lot more useful to both the novice and die hard Beatle collector. Asking the consumer to shell out almost thirty dollars is a bit of a tough pill to swallow in my opinion because there isn’t a lot of bang for your buck. I don’t know maybe it’s just me but couldn’t have the information contained in this book have just as easily been offered up for nothing on a personal website?
