The
BulletBoys made a splash, back in the day, on the hair metal
scene with the song “Smooth Up In Ya” but quickly drifted away
into the sands of time. In the day and age when bands from
every scene are reuniting it is difficult to make a splash
anywhere anymore. When news came out that original vocalist,
Marc Torien, had assembled a new band and was signed to Chavis
Records, it was not earth shattering news. Upon listening to
the music, however, one must admit there is a lot worse out
there.

Billionaire
retains the
Sunset Strip cock rock attitude but the music no longer smells
of Aqua-Net. This is down, dirty and gritty rock n’ roll.
“Girls Kissing Girls” and “Road to Nowhere” are outstanding
tracks. In fact, from the opener, “Asteroid” to the closer,
“Witness” the BulletBoys prove they are having fun making the
music they want to make and not pandering to ‘80s nostalgic
gimmicks.
While there
is nothing new or overtly creative, the band have put together a
collection of tunes worthy of cranking up.
