Megadeth - Endgame
Roadrunner
www.megadeth.com
Rating: B
Dave Mustaine is writing songs with a furious, reckless
abandon, which in this case is a great thing. Endgame
is a blistering, head thrashing symphony that will have
forty-something fans lining up at the emergency room
with whiplash. Dave is back and rockin' as hard as
ever. His voice is still raw, his playing angry and his
attitude 100% 'fuck you.'
Songs like "Head Crusher," "Bite the Hand" and "44
Minutes" show Megadeth are not mellowing with age. New
guitarist Chris Brokerick is on fire from start to
finish. Mustaine retains his whinny voice and his
facial sneer, tempting the wrath of both God and Satan
throughout.
At the end of the day, this album if a fine return to
form from Dave's band of metal loving mortals he calls
Megadeth. In fact, Mustaine has proved to keep his
heart and soul in the genre he loves much more
consistently and true than his former employers,
Metallica. Endgame is 100% Metal and 100%
Megadeth.
