Rock and Roll in 2015 needs a good kick in the ass -and the new live album from Slash, featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, is just what the doctor ordered! This is simply live Rock and Roll at its best. The louder ya crank it up, the better it is!

It’s not all just that famous guitar player, either.  Sitting in with Slash is Myles Kennedy from Alter Bridge who has a set of pipes on him that almost makes you forget that bandana guy with the really bad attitude who Slash used to be in a band with!  Don’t be fooled, however, as this sucker has an attitude all of its own!! Slash still remains a larger then life figure on stage, clutching his Gibson Les Paul while hiding that curly hair under his trademarked top hat, all the while puffing on a cig!

Slash has had a great career outside of his first famous band, and he is proud to reveal it all in this show.  From Slash’s self-titled debut we get songs like "Ghost", "Back from Cali" and "Starlight," as well as the huge hit "Slither" from his supergroup Velvet Revolver... and of course there’s plenty of GnR, including "Nightrain," "You Could Be Mine," "You’re Crazy," "Rocket Queen," "Sweet Child O`Mine" and "Paradise City."

From the opening track "Ghost" to the last track (a GNR classic) "Paradise City" this CD keeps your blood pumping and keeps you wanting more. Much of the excitement comes from Myles Kennedy, as this guy has some bad ass pipes and is a true showman onstage. His vocals are on fire all over this CD, but are never more impressive then on "Bent to Fly" and "World on Fire."

It’s not all just the Slash and Myles show, however, as they are surrounded by the amazing rhythm section of bassist Todd "Damit" Kerns, who takes a turn at lead vocals on "You’re Crazy" and "30 years to Life", drummer Brent Fitz, who plays, pounds and beats right through your skull the entire evening.   Rhythm guitarist Frank Sidoris holds his own nicely adding the needed flavoring on each tune.

As kick-ass as The Conspirators are, all eyes and bleeding ears are focused on Slash and Kennedy the entire time.  One listen to "Rocket Queen", the last song on the first disc, is all it takes to realize who is the true star of the show. This classic song features nearly twenty minutes of Slash soloing his ass off. Some people love his playing and some say he’s sloppy, but no one can deny what he creates sounds damn good.

Ego aside, and Slash has a big one, this is not just Slash with some hired guns backing him up, it’s a great band effort from start to finish.

This is one live disc that I can guarantee will keep finding its way back onto your playlist!
