Ritchie Scarlet – I Plead the Fifth

Rating: B

Known as the Emperor of Rock, Scarlet has played with Ace Frehley of KISS, Mountain, Sebastian Bach, the Alice Cooper Group and Hall of Famer Dennis Dunaway in 10th Avenue Vampires. Scarlet has now released a new solo album titled I Plead the Fifth.

The album opens up with a killer slab of rock and roll titled “Lips Like Morphine.” This one, along with the song “Carousel” are worth the price of admission. Scarlet, a talented guitarist, really lets loose on this one.

The album is a raging hunk of heavy metal guitars, earth shattering solos with dark and sinister lyrics as heard in “I Don’t Wanna Die” and “King Heroin.” “Lost In My World” is a true heartfelt song with a sadness that draws the listener in. All in all, there is not a bad track on this sucker. Scarlet simply does what he does best and anyone who likes to discover rock and roll outside of the mainstream will enjoy his music.

This is nothing more than heavy rock played with power and passion. Head over to http://www.richiescarletmusic.com/ and pick up a copy today!
